Join London Sport for an essential online training session for Club Welfare Officers.
Delivered in partnership with UK Coaching, the NSPCC, and the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU), on the 23rd July 2026, 9am-12.
Learn about the responsibilities connected with being a Welfare Officer, the skills needed to excel in the role, and how you can ensure that you’re supporting and safeguarding children effectively Every child deserves to enjoy playing sport and engaging in physical activity in a safe and supportive environment, where they feel heard, understood, and valued.

How a welfare officer works with others to create a child-centred environment
How the role of the welfare officer fits into the wider safeguarding environment
